what our customers Say

We have just spent a perfect evening at the White Hart. The views over towards Beachy Head are stunning and sitting out on the terrace on such a warm evening was a joy. The wine ( Chapel Down ) and service were both excellent . Our food was well cooked and delicious. Puddings, especially the passion fruit posset, are not to be missed. We are so lucky to have this restaurant so near our home and we will definitely be back for more.

OK, so it was 30C outside, blue sky and no way were we going to sit indoors for lunch. The setting and decor of the modern add-ons to the pub are fantastic. Great sweeping views over Eastbourne and the end/start of the South Downs.

I loved the idea of the barbecue and we tucked in to some yummy food, sea bass, chorizo, and water melon and feta salad. I think this place is going to be very popular and if they can keep up the standard of food this could be a winner. Congratulations!

The new owners have done a fabulous job in redecorating the pub and creating a really nice outdoor area with much improved seating. the service was great right from the moment we walked in to when we left, just what you want be so rarely get.The food was superb and I had the best steak in years. Will definitely return for more!

Very friendly welcome and service throughout the evening. Best steak in years and the pancakes my wife had was also delicious. Tasty sweets too. The new owners have made tremendous improvements not just to the decor but the food and service. Well done, we will return.

Everything about our visit was amazing. Really great food: locally sourced; fresh; and cooked beautifully. Great views and ambience. Well trained staff who were polite and helpful. We sat on the terrace which was really comfortable and sheltered.
